My Review:

I really wanted to enjoy this book but I just couldn’t get into it. This book also took me a long time to get through but I also think that part of it was that I became busy doing other things and couldn’t really sit down and read it. This story starts off with the main characters iseult and Safiya where they get into all kinds of trouble from the very beginning of the book. A bunch of things happen where they eventually meet Prince Merik who is the prince and Admiral of Nubrevna. This book was confusing at first as to whose POV I was reading but once I got into it things became a little clearer. I am still confused over some parts in the book and I wish that things were explained a little better which why I did not give the book a 5 star rating but I am hoping that things might clear up a little in the second one and I am excited to see what happens next. Fantasy is one of my favorite genres and while this book started out a little confusing it was still very good and I would definitely recommend it.
