Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the brokeandbookish.
This week’s theme is best books of 2016 so I decided to do the best books I read this year.
- Ready Player one by Ernest Cline:
I read this one right around the end of exam week back in April and absolutely loved it. This one was definitely my top favorite for the year and I would highly recommend it.
2. Red Rising (#1) by Pierce Brown:
I read this one earlier in the year and thought it was very good. I haven’t read the rest of the books in this series but I am thinking about adding them to my list for next year.
3. Ink and bone (#1) by Rachel Caine:
I read this one earlier in the year and loved it.
4. Winter (#4) by Marissa Meyer:
This series was amazing! I loved all of the characters and the way the book ended was excellent.
5. Lady Midnight (#1) by Cassandra Clare:
This book was really good and I loved reading about the world of the shadowhunters again. I am really excited to see what happens in Lord of shadows when it comes out next year.
6. An ember in the ashes (#1) by Sabaa Tahir:
Sabaa Tahir is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and I will definitely be adding A torch against the night to my TBR list for next year.
7. And I darken (#1) by Kiersten White:
I have tried to read the Paranormalcy series by this author but couldn’t get into it so when I tried this one I wasn’t sure about it at first but I did really enjoy it and am looking forward to reading the second book next year as well.
8. The scourge (#1) by A.G. Henley:
I got this one for free on Amazon last year and decided to read it back in November. I was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed this one and I definitely look forward to reading the rest of this series.
9. Empire of Storms (#5) by Sarah J. Maas:
I picked this one up from the library this month and absolutely loved it. It is definitely my favorite of all the books in the throne of glass series and I am super excited to see what happens in book 6.
10. Honey and Clover Vol 1. by Chica Umino:
I decided to add a manga in as well and chose Honey and clover. This one was definitely my favorite out of all of the manga I read this year. I really loved the characters and seeing how they interacted with each other. I definitely plan to watch the anime at some point too.
