Top ten Tuesday is hosted by the broke and bookish.
This week’ theme is top ten books I liked more/less than I thought I would.
10 books I liked more than I thought I would:
- Ready Player one by Ernest Cline:
I actually only picked this one up because I needed it for a particular genre and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I think this one became one of my top favorites in 2016.
2. Evil Genius (#1) by Catherine Jinks:
I saw this one at my library and decided to give it a try. I was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed this one although I am not sure if I will continue the series or not.
3. After the end (#1) by Amy Plum:
.
I wasn’t sure about this one at first but once I got into it I really enjoyed it.
4. A girl called fearless (#1) by Catherine Linka:
I wasn’t sure about this one at first but I decided to give it a try since it had been on my to-read shelf but I was definitely surprised by how much I really enjoyed it.
5. Unearthly (#1) by Cynthia Hand:
This was another one that i wasn’t sure about but was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
6. The scourge (#1) by A.G. Henley
:
I got this one on Amazon for free back in 2015 and I decided to read it for a few challenges on Goodreads last year and I was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I really want to get the other two but I haven’t decided if I want to get them from Amazon or not. This is one I would definitely recommend.
7. The falconer (#1) by Elizabeth May:
This one has been on my To-read shelf since around 2013 and I finally decided to pick it up back in November. I was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed this one and while it took me a while to read I know I will definitely continue this series at some point this year.
8. Queen of someday (#1) by Sherri D. Ficklin:
I found this one on Amazon for free back in 2015 and since I needed it for a few challenges last year I decided to go ahead and read it. I didn’t get to it until December but i did enjoy it and will probably continue the trilogy if I can get the other two books in this series and this one is also still free on Amazon.
9. The thief (#1) by Megan Whalen Turner:
I really wasn’t sure about this one and I actually had to check it out a couple of times before I got to it but once I sat down and read it I was surprised by how it was different. I am not sure if I will continue the series or not but if I can get them from my library I will probably get the second book at some point this year.
10. Beautiful creatures (#1) by Kami Garcia:
This book was definitely interesting although it did take me a while to finish. I have beautiful darkness on my to-read shelf so I am hoping to pick it up in the summer.
