It’s Monday! What are you reading? is hosted by Kathryn at the bookdate. This is where you can talk about what you have read, what you are currently reading and what  you are about to read.

This past week was a very good week for reading as I managed to finally finish one series that I have been reading for a couple of years and also a coupe of trilogies as well. I didn’t really do anything this week although I did start playing video games again.

This Thursday I have an overnight orientation at the school I am going to in the fall but other than that I will probably be reading again this week and will hopefully finish a few more books as well.

What I read last week:

I am Alice (#12)  by Joseph Delaney:

6282143

I thought this one was ok but it was a fast read and I was able to finish it in a couple of hours or so. (4 stars)

Fury of the seventh son (#13)  by Joseph Delaney:

18090026

I didn’t really like the way that this one ended either but it did finish a series that i have been reading for a long time so I am very glad that i decided to get it when I went to the library . (3.5 stars).

Crystal storm (#5)  by Morgan Rhodes:

23367261

I really liked this one although it did take me a long time to finish. I am now caught up in the series and will probably get the last one sometime next year after it comes out in December. (5 stars).

A court of wings and ruin (#3)  by Sarah J. Maas:

23766634

I surprised myself this month by being able to get this one since my Overdrive account had it. It did take me a little while to read though but I thought it was pretty good. (4.5 /5 stars).

Ashes to ashes (#3)  by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian:

10662433

I really didn’t like this one that much. I am glad that I read it though as it helped with a lot of challenges on Goodreads and finished up a trilogy as well. (3 stars).

Illuminae (#1)  by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff:

23395680

This one only took me two days to read it and it was okay. I will Probably pick up the second one sometime next year though (4 stars).

The city of ember (#1)  by Jeanne DuPrau:

5602550

I picked this one up on a whim as I am still working on a challenge on Goodreads from last year and needed one more new series. This one didn’t take me long to read but it was just okay. I might continue the series at some point but I am not sure yet. (3 stars).

Currently reading:

I have only read a few chapters of this one so far but I hope to read it later this week hopefully.

I’ve only read a couple of pages so far but this one looks really good. I will probably finish it within the next couple of days or so.

16150831

I haven’t really read this one that much so I plan on reading it this week and will probably finish it by the end of the weekend hopefully.

25263927

So this is what I have planned for this week. I am not sure how much reading I will be able to do as I will be getting ready for orientation toward the end of the week but I am hoping to finish 3 or 4 books hopefully.

I hope you have a great week!
