It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at the bookdate. This is where you can talk about what you have read, what you are currently reading, and what you are about to read.
This past week was pretty quiet so far but I did finish quite a few books and got some good news as well. Last week I finally decided to sit down and read all of the books that I had on my currently reading shelf since May and now i think i am finally caught up except for a couple of books that I started at the beginning of June that i haven’t finished yet.
I also know what dorm room I am staying at for college this semester and I plan on going shopping with my aunt on Friday and Saturday to get the things I need. I still have a couple of things that I need to do for school but I think I am all set so far. I’m also going out with a friend this afternoon and we will probably go swimming and maybe do lunch or something like that. I have a couple of weeks before I have to return my library books so I am thinking that this week I will focus on reading some of those hopefully.
What I read last week:
The mark of Athena (#3) by Rick RIordan:
Audio book:
This one was not one of my favorites in this series but I thought it was pretty good. I can’t wait to see what happens in the fourth book of this series though (3 stars).
I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I thought I would but I am glad that I read it (3 stars).
The girl form the well (#1) by Rin Chupeco:
I thought this one was pretty good but it did take me a little longer to finish than I thought it would (3 stars).
This one took me a while to get to and it was okay (3 stars).
Flamecaster (#1) by Cinda Williams Chima:
This was definitely one of my most anticipated books for this year and while it did take me a while to finish I did enjoy it (4 stars).
The evaporation of Sofi Snow (#1) by Mary Weber:
Netgalley review:
I was approved for a copy of this one off Netgalley and while I thought it was interesting and had a lot of action throughout the story I thought it was just okay (3 stars).
Inescapable (#1) by Amy A. Bartol:
I didn’t really like this one that much but it did finish a couple of challenges on Goodreads that I have been working on so I am glad that I was able to read it (2 stars).
Currently reading:
I ordered this one on Amazon a while back and decided to wait until July to read it for a few challenges on Goodreads and so far it is very good. I am hoping to finish it in the next couple of days or so.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about this book so i decided to pick it up at the library this month. I am hoping to finish it soon as well.
This one is okay so far. I’ve only read a few chapters so I am hoping to read it today and hopefully finish it.
I have to return this one to my Overdrive account soon so I am probably going to focus on this one first and should finish in the next few days or so.
Up Next:
So this is my plan for this week. This week also looks a little busier than previous so I am not sure how much reading I will be doing but I am hoping to finish a few books hopefully.
I enjoyed November 9…and I’m curious about The Girl from the Well….and Alex, Approximately. Enjoy the books you haven’t read yet!
