Hello,

I can’t believe that we only have a few more days left until 2018. In just a couple of weeks I will be heading back to school to start a new semester and while I probably won’t have a lot of time for reading I am hoping to reading a few books every once in a while.

For this post I am going to talk about my top favorite books that were 4 or 5 stars reads. I also have a couple of other scheduled posts where I have my least favorite books that I read and books that are not being published in 2018 that i am looking forward to reading next year.

Favorite books of 2017:

  1. A great and terrible beauty (#1)  by Libba Bray:

I was definitely surprised by this book as I wasn’t expecting to like it at first but i ended up really enjoying it once I was able to sit down and read it. I am hoping to continue the series next year and hopefully read more by this author.

2.  Caraval (#1) by Stephanie Garber:

i Picked this one up just as soon as it came out on my Overdrive account and it was really good. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.

3. Poison’s Kiss (#1) by Breeana Shields:

This was another book I picked up from the library right after it came out and was definitely one of my favorite books of the year. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

4. Blood rose rebellion (#1) by Rosalyn Eves:

I received an ARC of this one from Netgalley and wile it did take me a little longer to read than I though it would, I still really enjoyed and can’t wait to see what happens next.

5. Frozen tides (#4) by Morgan Rhodes;

I bought this one in April and waited until i got done with the spring semester to start this one and it was definitely one of my favorite books. I am definitely excited for Immortal Reign in February to see how this series ends.

6. A court of mist and fury (#2) by Sarah J. Maas:

This one was definitely my favorite in the A court of thorns and roses series. This one was definitely a fast read for me and i loved all of the characters and the action in the story.

7. A torch against the night (#2) by Sabaa Tahir:

I read this one over the summer and i remember it taking me longer to read than I thought it would but once I sat down and really got into the story I ended up really enjoying it.

8. The eternity cure (#2) by Julie Kagawa:

This was another series that I didn’t have high expectations at first bu once I picked it up and tried it, I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to finishing the series next year hopefully.

9. Tower of dawn (#6) by Sarah J. Maas:

I picked this one up just before school ended and while it took me a lot longer to finish than i thought it would I still really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the last book in this series next year.

10. Nyxia (#1) by Scott Reintgen:

I received this one from Netgalley a while ago and wasn’t able to read it until this week. I was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more by this author.

11. La Belle Sauvage (#1) by Philip Pullman:

This was one of my most anticipated books of the year and while it was a little on the slow side, it was still great to read this one and i can’t wait to see what happens next.

12. The body finder (#1) by Kimberly Derting:

This book was definitely better than I thought it would be. I loved the characters and while there was romance in the story I loved that it focused more on the mystery as well. I can’t wait to continue this series next year.

So this is my list of favorite books of 2017. I am still reading a lot of books so there might be a few more added to this list but I will probably finish the rest of my library next year. My next post will be about Books that were rated 3 stars or below.
