It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at the bookdate. This is where you can talk what you have read, what you are currently reading, and what you are about to read.

Happy New Years everyone,

I hope the year goes well and that you are able to find some great reads this year!

This past week has been pretty quiet lately as I got a cold on Sunday afternoon so I have been resting for the past couple of days. I’ve also been busy this week trying to finish up some books that I have been reading and making some blog posts this week as well. This week I am over at my grandparents house this week and have mostly just been hanging out. I did see Wonder last week .and loved it. I also got a haircut since my hair was getting longer and ended up cutting four inches off which feels really good. The arctic weather has settled here so it has been in the 20s the last few nights and is expected to be very cold the rest of the week so I’ve just been staying inside. This week I was supposed to have a doctor’s appointment but I got sick Sunday so I may have to change it later in the week but I am planning to go back to my dad’s house on Wednesday and staying with them until school starts.

What I read last week:

Nyxia (#1)  by Scott Reintgen:

27426044

I received this one from Netgalley and was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed it. There was a lot of action in the story and just a little bit of a mystery in it as well. This is a Sci-Fi that I would definitely recommend (4.5/5 stars).

The Body Finder (#1) by Kimberly Derting:

6261522

I was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it at first but once I sat down and read it the story really picked up. It was definitely a fast read for me and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series (5 stars).

The midnight star (#3) by Marie Lu:

28588345

This one definitely surprised me as well. There was a lot of action and the characters were pretty good too. This one didn’t take me as long to read as the second book did and the ending was definitely surprising (5 stars).

Currently reading:

26114463

This one is fast paced but I am not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I am hoping to finish it by tomorrow hopefully.

2657

I read this one back in high school and I wanted to read more classics last year and while i haven’t reached that goal yet this one is pretty good even though I have only read a few pages so far. I am hoping to finish it by the end of the week hopefully.

29385546

This is one of my most anticipated books of the year and while I have only made a little bit of progress with it. I am hoping to finish it this week.
