It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at the bookdate. This is where you can talk about what you have read, what you are currently reading, and what you are about to read.

Hello,

It’s been a while since I have done one of these so I decided to do an update for this week. Things have been going pretty good although I have been really busy with school and hw lately. Instead of having projects to complete this semester I now have a ton of reading to do and a few papers as well. We had a couple of snow days at the beginning of the beginning of the semester but now the weather has pretty much returned back to normal. This week doesn’t look as busy though I do have a lot of reading for my classes this week.

I also wanted to let you guys know that starting tomorrow i won’t be on social media as i have to read a book and turn off my social media until I finish it so I won’t be posting any updates unless I finish a book, which I’ll post here since I won’t be on Goodreads. I should be back in about 2-3 weeks though.

What I read last week:

For this week I will just add the books that I read for the week and the ones that I missed at the beginning of the month I will add in my wrap-up post.

Harry potter and the order of the phoenix (#5)  by J.K. Rowling:

2

This is one of my favorite series although this particular book was my least favorite in the series. I would still highly recommend it and can’t wait to reread the sixth book.

When dimple met Rishi by Sandhya Menon:

28458598

I picked this one up on a whim on my Overdrive account and was definitely surprised by how much I enjoyed reading it. It was a little bit more fast paced at first but once i got into the story I thought it flowed really well and I loved all of the characters. I definitely can’t wait to read more by this author (4.5 stars)

A monster calls by Patrick Ness:

8621462

I literally read this in about a couple of hours and thought it was ok, though it was a really sad book. I did think that the ending kind of ended abruptly though. I was glad I read it and I would recommend it (3 stars)..

To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee:

2657

I read this one when I was in high school and has recently read Go set a watchman so I decided to go ahead and reread it. It was a pretty good classic and one that I would recommend (4.5/5 stars).

Currently reading:

35553569

I started this one just a couple of days ago and I am already almost halfway. I’ve had to slow down though as I have had a lot of reading in my classes to do but I am hoping to finish it this week. A review should be up for this one once I finish it.

I’ve been trying to read this one for a while now and finally made some progress with with it even though I only got up to 30%. Its pretty good so far though it may be a while before I get back to it.

35051065

This is one that i am slowly reading but I have made some progress with it. It be a while though before I finish it.

So this is what I have planned for this week. I am not sure if I will be able to  finish the books that i have planned for this week as I have a ton of reading and I have to start quiet for my paper but I am hoping to finish at least a couple.

I am also planning on having my Wrap-up post up either late tonight or early tomorrow morning before I go on my social media hiatus.

Hope you guys have a great week,

Marybeth
