It’s Monday! What are you Reading is hosted by the bookdate. This is where you can talk about what you have read, what you are currently reading, and what you are about to read.
Hello,
I hope you guys are having a good Christmas and New Years. Christmas went by relatively fast, but it was a lot of fun. I went over to my grandparent’s house for the week and it was pretty good. I had this week off of work so it was nice to rest and catch up on some reading and sleep. I also did some baking and we went to see Aquaman yesterday, which was really good. I haven’t really watched a lot of DC movies but I think Aquaman was my second favorite under the Batman movies. I start work again tomorrow morning and will be working every day until Wednesday probably. School starts back up in a week and a half or so and I’ll be gearing up for a new semester again. I’ve also got a few more library books that I need to read before I have to send them back so I”ll be working my way through those over the next few days or so. I’m not sure if we have any plans for New years as I”ll be working for most of the day, but I might do something.
I missed last weeks update so this one will have the books that I read last week and this week.
Books I’ve Finished:
Wings of the wicked (#2) by Courtney Allison Moulton:
This one was alright. There were times where I really liked it and then there were other times where I didn’t like it. I am glad that I was able to finish it though (3.5/5 stars).
Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin:
This one was also alright. There were times where I really liked the story and then there were times where I didn’t enjoy it quite as much. I think if I had read it when I was younger I might have enjoyed it a little more but it was still an interesting read (3 stars).
Now I rise (#2) by Kiersten White:
This one was definitely my favorite of the three that I read this week and I can’t wait to start the third book in this trilogy (5 stars).
Traitor to the throne (#2) by Alwyn Hamilton::
This one was really good. I loved all of the characters though Amani was probably my favorite in this one. I also wasn’t expecting that ending either and I’m super excited for hero at the fall though it might be a while before I pick it up (5 stars).
You can trust me by Sophie McKenzie:
This one was a little bit predictable, but there were some plot twists that I didn’t see coming. It was interesting though (3.5/5 stars).
Currently Reading:
Reap the shadows (#4) by Annette Marie:
This one is definitely one of my favorite series and even though I’ve only read a few chapters so far there’s already a lot of things going on in it. I should be able to finish it over the next couple of days or so.
The Murder Complex (#1) by Lindsay Cummings:
This one is alright. It’s a little confusing and there seems to be some insta-love between the two main characters as well. The mystery part of the story is interesting though, and it is fast-paced as well. I’m hoping to finish it by tonight though.
Bright we burn (#3) by Kiersten White:
This trilogy is definitely one of my favorites so far and I’m really excited to be able to see how this trilogy ends.
Right where I belong by Krista McGee:
I’ve started this one but I haven’t really sat down to read it though it is interesting so ar.0 I’m looking forward to continuing it though.
What I’m about to read:
So this is what I have planned for this week. I am working every day this week so I’m not sure how much I will be able to finish but I’m hoping to get through the last of my library books since I have to take them back next week before I go to school again.
